After finishing the flag stitch scarf I had some yarn left over so decided to have a go at some hats.
Now here I used a circular loom to knit it as I found knitting in the round a little beyond me at this stage. However, the patterns for the loom is a little more limiting but it was a first go and I am learning knitting in the round so you never know.
Anyway, I bought my loom from my usual craft shop - link below, and the yarn was James C Brett tranquil chunky.
The loom was easy to work with and the with the loom I knitted up this hat in about an hour. It is a hat for a premature baby and I am looking to knit a number of these for my local neonatal unit with whatever yarn I have left over from other projects.
The yarn was nice and easy to work with and has produced a soft hat which has a little stretch to it. If I were to make it again I would make the brim a little bigger but that is for another hat.
It was easy to make and will also make bigger ones for family members.
