Not often I recommend a yarn but this one is well worth doing so.
It is rainbow cotton yarn from Hobbii.
This is a soft cotton yarn which while having the lack of stretch all cotton yarns have it is not rough on your fingers whilst working with it. I have used this in both knitting and crochet projects and it works well in both. There is little to no splitting of the yarn whilst working with it and so far I have found no knots in any of the skeins i have used.
The one I tend to use is their 8/8 yarn which is equivalent of DK. They do have it in lighter versions which I have not used.
Another big advantage is that it comes in around 50 different colours so you should find one (or more) you want.
It is perhpas a little pricy at £2.25 for a 50g skein which is around 75m of yarn. However, there are offers on the yarn if buying a number of skeins or buying a colour pack of them which is a selection of 10 skeins for £20. The only issue with these colour packs is that they are pre-chosen.
I hope to be blogging about some of the project I have made with the yarn in the near future.
